I went for a walk in the blistering summer heat today and it was great. I feel like I can finally walk again. It isn’t without its painful moments, but it was very empowering to be walking again at a decent pace.
Tomorrow I plan on swimming at the gym. I hope that swimming will help me to walk better and gain muscle. Ultimately losing weight and gaining muscle is my goal. I am tired of feeling sluggish and without energy.
One step at a time and one walk at at a time is what is going to get me back in gear.
Swimming is a great idea. It’s very therapeutic for that ankle and will give it a rest from the walking but you’ll still get a great workout for your heart.
